Don't know about everybody else but those 6+ hour rounds are not my idea of fun. Just as well the wind did not come up too much on Saturday or we could still be playing..... Did everybody else find themselves playing in amongst the other tournament? We would have been better playing a scramble too! The ignominy of being approached by a club official to ask if we were playing the correct course! Hoping for more fluent times at Harding.....

I was a little surprised too. I didn't think a shotgun start was going to take so long. I know our group struggled on a few holes, but we still had a lot of waiting. We even started on a par 5, so we should have not caught up with anyone. I could not believe there was another tournament going on at the same time. What was up with that? They even closed the upper bar on us too. We are not some low class club. We are the Rusty Putters. The bay areas fastest growing club!! ;D Gee no respect.

Closing the bar! Now that hurts! Of course the motto of the RPs leads to one conclusion as to why we play lengthy rounds. High handicap players looking for balls in "impossible-to-find-your-own-ball" rough is another. The layout of Poppy Ridge, with its 3 nines, can cause confusion and, certainly, the integration with the other tournament was irritating, I was unsure which of the groups ahead of us and behind us were RPs.
